Rachael Lillis, a celebrated actress, known for her iconic roles on many Saturday morning cartoons, passed away on August 10, 2024 after a battle with cancer.
It was while Rachael was living on the Upper West Side close to Central Park, near a small, secluded pond known only as The Pool, that her career really blossomed. She brought characters to life on numerous cartoons and anime, most notably for Pokemon, Winx Club, Dinosaur King, Utena…the list goes on and on. She was beloved by many for her superb vocal talents, both in speaking and singing.
We, in the voiceover community, were lucky enough to know her as an incredible actress, a dear friend, and a compassionate human being.
It seems fitting to dedicate a bench here in Central Park to commemorate Rachael’s accomplishments and the impact she had on all of our lives. It would provide a place to visit, a spot of solitude where one can reflect on their childhood, a memorial through which we keep her legacy alive for generations to come.
She gave so much to all of us. Dedicating and donating to this bench for Rachael allows us to honor her memory while also contributing to this great park which she loved.
All donations go directly to The Central Park Conservancy and are tax deductible. Any amount raised above the goal will go towards the maintenance of the benches in the park. Thank you in advance for your love, support, and generosity in memory of Rachael Lillis, a uniquely talented actress and friend.
