We are deeply saddened by Allen Hyunwoo Park’s passing on May 26, 2021. Allen was a wonderful individual — intelligent, kind, joyful, funny, thoughtful, and compassionate. He was a wonderful son, brother, grandson, friend, and student. Allen touched so many people with his infectious laugh and his warm and open smile. He cared deeply about everyone with whom he came in contact and connected with people on many different levels, through his passion for sports, music, learning, food, and the environment. A dedicated environmentalist, Allen worked at the Central Park Conservancy during his senior year of high school at Horace Mann. By adopting a bench in Central Park, a place that he dearly loved and where those who loved him can cherish his memory, it is our hope that we may find comfort and peace that our indelible memories of Allen will remain with us forever.
