Adopt a Bench in memory of Alan A. Geiger

Alan Geiger was a true lover of Central Park. He spent countless hours cycling in the park early weekday mornings and then congregating with his cycling buddies and others "on the bench" on the weekends after longer rides. He could often be found on the benches in front of the Boathouse, or in later years, on the benches in front of Tavern on the Green.
Some even referred to him as the "Mayor" of Central Park (before he moved to California in 2008). He enriched the lives of all who knew him- with his crazy humor and loyal friendship. He is survived by his two daughters, Miwa and Mariko, his wife Kazumi, and many friends who still frequent Central Park.
