Pounds for Play: Supporting Central Park’s Playgrounds

Each year, funds raised by the Playground Partners enable the Central Park Conservancy to complete vital maintenance work throughout Central Park’s 21 playgrounds, including the replacement of 120 tons (or 240,000 pounds) of sand in sandboxes.

What better way to honor the special little ones in your life than by caring for the playgrounds that play such an important role in their childhood?

With a minimum donation of $25, you can symbolically donate 25 pounds of fresh, clean sand for playground sandboxes. For your donation, you or the person(s) you are honoring will receive an eCard certificate indicating the pounds of sand donated and the date of the gift.

Help us reach the 240,000 pounds of sand needed annually to keep our playgrounds in excellent condition!
